Review: A Touch So Wicked by Connie Mason

Kindle Edition, 388 pages
Published October 7th 2011
he king had ordered him to stop her wedding and send her a nunnery, but when Damian Stratton laid eyes on the Lady of Misterly he knew the passionate Highland beauty wan’t meant for a life of purity and prayer. He couldn’t set her free to marry the Gordon laird, but how could he keep the little minx under his roof when she tempted him beyond all reason?

The Demon Knight had ruined her wedding day and confined her in his chamber, but Lady Elissa Fraser refused to surrender … until she saw the tenderness in her captor’s eyes and flet her traitorous body melt beneath his caress. The clan had her loyalty, but how could she resist … A Touch So Wicked.

I have to say that I loved Elissa's character. She is very brave, stubborn and sassy. She is stubborn so its very hard for her to accept that the past is the past, and move on. Or the fact that not all Englishmen are horrible, even if their name or reputation implies different.
Damien, has his heart set on one thing and one thing only. Okay well two. Misterly Castle is all he has ever wanted and he finally is making it a home when things really go astray. And the second thing, is Elissa even though that shouldn't happen.
He defied the king by not sending her away, but he did follow the kings orders by not allowing Elissa and Tavis Gordon to marry. If he had just sent word to the king about that fact, maybe some things might not have happened-then again things could have been worse than they were.
Bring in Kimbra, Damien's bride-to-be. A real bitch, extremely spoiled and rude. I just couldn't believe Damien put up with her and her attitude as long as he did, not after the way he and Elissa quarreled. She never really did get set in her place, never. That is disappointing to me.
This is a good highlander story, but it only has the strong highlander lass, the hero was an Englishman.
